MTS Wireless - 4G Personal Vs Business Plans
I was browsing the MTS website as I am thinking about switching my Rogers Cell Phone to MTS later this year. (actually in the next month or so now) A big thing I have always liked with Rogers is that data is Canada Wide, so I have 5GB that works anywhere in Canada. I also have unlimited Canada Wide calling all day, everyday. For this I pay $65 plus tax. (caller ID, voicemail, texting all included).
With MTS whether your on their unlimited plan or their 5GB plan you only get 400MB outside of Manitoba. But then I browsed the business side of their plans, and they are the same price as the personal plans, but their data is CANADA wide, not just Manitoba. Can anyone sign up for a business account with MTS? What do they ask for proof you have a small business?
Here is a side by side comparison of the three most comparable plans to my Rogers plan;
1. 5GB Data, Unlimited Local Calling - $65
Plans are exactly the same, except Personal plan is 5gb data in Manitoba, 400MB rest of Canada, and the Business plan is 5GB CANADA Wide. Same price.
2. Unlimited Data, 400 Weekday minutes, Unlimited Weekend calling - $60
Plans are exactly the same except the Personal plan is Unlimited in Manitoba, 400MB outside Manitoba, and the Business plan is UNLIMITED CANADA WIDE.
3. All In Plan - Unlimited Data and Canada Wide Calling - $95
Plans are exactly the same except Personal Plan is unlimited data in Manitoba Only, 400MB rest of Canada, The Business plan is unlimited Canada Wide
As you can see there is a trend here... Why do business plans at the same price point get unlimited data, and consumer accounts are capped at 400mb....does this not just seem like a money grab?
p.s. I understand Consumers will use more data and we are a higher % of customers compared to business.... but 400MB is NOTHING, I am not asking for unlimited canada wide, but would be nice to see 1-2GB for us consumers
