The wifi signal from our 2Wire router does not reach to all areas of my home, os I would like to extend the range. I have tried 2 different wifi extenders (different brands) that were dual band and neither one of them could connect to the MTS 2WIRE router. I ensured that the passcode was correct, the mac addresses were added and that the device was very close to the router during configuration. Has anyone had any experience/success connecting a wifi extender to their MTS provided router? I am beginning to think that either there is something that needs to be configured on the router or that the routers do not allow extenders to be connected to them.

There are several options for extended the wireless signal within your home.  You can use personal hardware such as wifi extenders, or personal routers.  MTS also provides solutions as well.  Repair technicians are trained to address these issues and will sometimes move your equipment to a better location or even install secondary access points in the home.
