Hi there,

For the last 3 days my Note 3 won't automatically connect to my home wifi (MTS router).  The only way I am able to have them connect is for me to unplug the router and reboot.  After it initiates and all services are up and running, my Note 3 will connect to the wifi signal.

That being said, every other device in the house (iphone, mac computers, ipad) are not having this connectivity issue.

Any suggestions?  Up until 3 days ago it there was never an issue.

Hello Mark,

That happens to me at home sometimes too and it can be annoying.
Here are a couple of settings/things to try;

Ensure your Samsung Galaxy Note 3’s software is up to date:

1) Go into Settings>General (tab at the top)> About device > Android version: 4.4.2 (this is the latest).
If you don’t have the most current OS, tap ‘Software update’ at the top of the ‘About device’ screen> Update-check for updates

For the Wi-Fi

2) Go into Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Menu (the invisible key in the bottom left hand corner of the screen)>Advanced>Auto network switch : if that isn’t checked off, tap it to turn it on.

3) Go into Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi >tap and hold your home WiFi connection and chose ‘Forget Network’.

Then try setting up your home network as a new network using, ‘Add Wi-Fi network’
Here’s a Video How-to Guide from Samsung:

Forgetting the network and setting it up new can fix any glitches in the provisioning on the phone of that connection and can help fix issues.

Here's another link that lists the 10 most common problems with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - this article also gives some suggestions (some similar to the ones I outlined above).

Good luck!
