Wi-Fi Modem Range Problems

Hello all,
Recently, I have been having problems with dead zones and the range on our Pace Wi-Fi Modem. We have a 1200 sq. ft bi-level with an attached garage, of which the router's range does not cover. Our router was placed in the farthest corner of the house in the lower level wherein it has to go through a fire-resistant ceiling and three walls to reach the living room, the aforementioned dead zone, where devices would experience vastly reduced speeds and high latency. Would it be possible for MTS to supply a second modem to be connected upstairs?

Hey J,
IF you are having troubles with the wifi in your home, be it dead spots or interference, you should definitely give our tech support group a call.  They can help investigate the situation.  They might be able to increase the power level of your wireless signal, but if that doesn't work a technician can be dispatched to resolve the problem.  If installing a 2nd wireless access point is the solution then that is what they will do.  We would not charge you to get the wireless service working throughout your home.
