Westman communications group in Brandon Manitoba just announced that they would be increasing the upload rate - 2.5 megabits per second on there 12 and 30 megabits per second download and on there 60 megabits per second download it will be increased to 6 megabits per second upload; maybe this is Something Mts should look into on increasing there upload speed?

Can you also tell us the price? I would love to compare MTS internet and Westman, and see what's the best option for me.

MTS already has similar upload speeds on their Lightning 10 and higher services.

Lightning 10 - 10 Mbps down - 2 Mbps up
Lightning 25 - 25 Mbps down - 2 Mbps up
Lightning 50 - 50 Mbps down - 5 Mbps up

So it looks like Westman is just catching up with the rest of the providers in Manitoba and offering a comparable upload speed with their services.  That picture also states that they charge $7 for a modem rental where MTS offers it for free!

Also, when I run speed tests on my Lightning 50 service I average around 5.0 to 5.5 for an upload speed so MTS is very comparable for their service.

The 7 dollars modem rental is for their Wi-Fi 802.11ac dualband router.
