Webmail birthday notifications

I've used webmail since inception and have never been impressed with it's functionality, that's another story.  I periodically get email reminders from myself for someone's birthday.  I have looked extensively within the program to find where these come from as these people are no longer even in my contacts.  Can't find where these come from as I want to stop them.  Can anyone help?

My birthday notices come from the Microsoft Outlook account(s) that was set up when MTS used Microsoft Outlook as their email service provider a few years ago. The outlook account(s) are still active, which is where we set up our Birthday calendar with MTS/Outlook years ago.

Log in to Microsoft Outlook login using your MTS email  eg.  urmtsemail@mymts.net. Use your old password or if you don’t remember, ask for another one re: “forgot email?” In the first page of outlook, go to “View inbox”.  At the bottom of your outlook email inbox there is a “calendar” icon. Click on the icon and that should be where your events are coming from.

The accounts with Microsoft Outlook were never removed after MTS changed to their present email provider.  I've brought this issue up with MTS a few times but never got an answer.  I have removed some of my MTS outlook email accounts, (it did take me some time to figure out the process). Kept the outlook account that has the calendar events.

Hope this is helpful.

If they are not in your contacts, it may be coming from the Calendar option in webmail as you set it up as a reminder, or you are getting notifications from an external source such as Facebook or some sort of external calendar like Google.

You could also right click on the email in the mailbox which should bring up a drop down menu.  From that menu left  click on show original. That will bring up the headers which should allow you to see what app is sending the reminders.  The name may on the first line called return path
