Watching more than 1 HD stream causes high latency and dropped packets on the network

I have 2 mts tv receivers connected directly to the  pace 5168N router with cat5e cables. If I am watching an HD channel on the first receiver and a SD channel on the second receiver the ping to the router is fine with no dropped packets and 1ms times from my computer. As soon as I switch the 2nd receiver to HD I get dropped packets and high latency in the 20ms range. Also when this happens, pages on the internet don't load or load very slowly.

I attached a screenshot and you can see exactly when I switch both receivers to an HD channel, and then changed one receiver back to SD. Once switching back to SD, the pings to the router return to normal.

I have rebooted the router, rebooted the computers, rebooted the receivers, used a second laptop to try with the first computer powered off. I am at a loss to why this happens.

Hey Jimmy,

That is a very strange issue you have there.  A few follow up questions I have though.  Does the same issue occur when you have 2 active HD streams on the same Set Top Box (STB) and the other is inactive? Watching one and recording one.  Does the issue occur when you use up multiple SD streams, like more than 2 or is it only when HD streams are used?  It's possible there could be something wrong with one of your STB's, or even the RG itself and you would have to contact our Technical Support group to have them take a look at it and maybe even have it replaced.
