Why should I pay mts 45 dollars a month for land line when I can get void landlines from call centric for 5 dollars

Because a landline is more reliable. Try using your VoIP phone when the power is out.

I have tried VoIP at home on MTS and the reliability is just not there. When my internet is fast enough to actually support the call (75% of the time) its OK but the network go's down way to often as well. (Like 6-8 times a year) I have only ever had my land line go down once over a 8 year period.
At work my VoIP setup is fairly resilient but its all done internally with a local Cisco call manager and has a copper PRI trunk.
