What kind of issues have you had? If you send an email to email@example.com with the Mac address of your router and home line that the account is on and maybe I can help. There are ways to put your own router behind the Pace one, but if done improperly can really impact your experience in a bad way. You wouldn't be able to replace the Pace one outright, and if you have MTS tv you wouldn't want to. Our routers have settings to prioritize the tv service that an off the shelf one doesn't. Drop me an email with the information above and tell me what problems you have (had?) and maybe I can help.
Email received, thank you for providing such great detail! I think I may be able to help you out by applying a patch to your RG. This will cause an outage of about 2-5 minutes while the router reboots, so let me know either through this forum or an email to firstname.lastname@example.org when I can do this. Just to confirm, you show 3 switches in your network. I just want to confirm they are all functioning as hubs and not doing any DHCP.
The PVR is on its own router port, as is my main PC. The other 2 ports feed switches, one that feeds the Bravia, PS4 & BluRay and one that feeds downstairs components.
So...what mods did the firmware patch make to the PACE?
Thanks so much for all of your help!
Edit-9:44 pm. It seems Netflix through the the WDLIVE box is NOT working. Are ther known issues with this type of media box and PACE routers?
PJ, Netflix isn't working at all? The patch was to address streaming that mostly impacted Apple devices (but not exclusively), so everything should be fine. Are you using a VPN for Netflix? Check the time setting on your WDTVLive box. Has it updated recently? I cam across a posting from someone who had a similar issue (https://community.wd.com/t/i-think-its-the-timezone-no-netflix-hulu-youtube/35706/15)
Before you jump ship on the WD box, did you check the WD Live box to see when the last NTP update occurred? If this is your problem (it's in the link I provided earlier and a screenshot here to show how to look at the NTP in your WD box). Instead change the Internet Time Settings in the WD TV box to ntp.mts.net
