It would also be great to get access to TSN Go.
Yes there is a plan to clean up and simplify the guide. We apologize that the TSN channels aren't in sequential order right now as we know it's not ideal, but the reason for this is we felt it was more important for them to be launched first, and then we will simplify the guide order.
Those services also have loyal viewers, of course, and we want to ensure that those people can easily find the new channel locations. Whenever we move a service, we try to replace it with a message that identifies the new channel location. That means the channel is not available to be occupied immediately by another programming service.
We also have an obligation to provide programming services with a certain amount of notice before a new channel may be assigned. Our negotiations to launch the new TSN channels and provide Winnipeg Jets games on TSN3 did not leave enough time to notify the other programming services. So they will be moved the next time we make channel changes - with messages guiding viewers to the new locations. The TSN services will then be moved with our next channel changes after that.
In the meantime, some customers have been using MyPicks (channel 93) to set up a view of all five TSN channels at the same time. Personally, I’ve found it to be very helpful with today’s coverage of the U.S. Open.
I can’t say much about TSN Go, but we do we recognize the value that it could bring to some customers.
While for some customers, channels changing location is not a big deal, for many customers, changing the channel numbers is a rather distressing. we try to minimize those and do them when we have to.
It is definitely something we will be doing, but there are some more important projects we are concentrating on at this time.
