Speedtest.net speeds

I was talking to someone today who said they were experiencing slow speeds on their devices (they happened to all be Apple devices; a new iPhone, an iPad, and an iMac)

I suggested to try changing the speedtest.net server from "Commstream" to something else, as they were getting under 1 Mbps! As soon as they did, it went right to full speed (they're on Lightning 25)

Just wanted to share this to help people who might think their speeds are slow, when it's just a bad hosting site out on the internet.

Also, is MTS ever going to have an official speed testing site for the general public?

Jesse, thanks for the post and suggestion, you make a very good point. Speedtest results can definitely differ depending on the server, and that's quite a difference you mentioned between the two different speedtests. I've passed your feedback along to our website development group to assess.

Clifford, that's also a good suggestion, and is a good alternative. Thanks for sharing!!
