Just thought I would share speed test results from yesterday while I was downtown on Broadway. Either a congestion issue or something. I have had times where 4g is faster than LTE. Yesterday while 4g was a bit faster, they were close the same
Hey K, One of the reasons you get lower bars on LTE than HSPA is the penetrating power of LTE is significantly less than HSPA, same as the range. This accompanied with the mass amount of users in that area at that time of day, as Clifford mentioned, will certainly compromise the signal and speed. There are also some LTE "dead spots" along Broadway, so you may have been on the edge of a coverage spot. I would be curious to see the same speed test results later in the day when the population in the area is not quite so high.
