Slow response from cable box

My mts Motorola vip1216 cable box is responding extremely slow to any and all remote signals. Sometimes takes 2-3 seconds before it catches up. I have replaced batteries to no avail. Any known issues like this before? It seems to be all commands, doesn't matter if it's channel up or down, or guide, or enter, all seem to be very delayed at times. Frustrating thing is that it's not consistent so I often press buttons either too much or not enough. Any tips are much appreciated.

Hi Chris,

There was another threat in the community that spoke about this very situation so you are not alone.  That thread can be found here.  Basically there are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve it, such as a power cycle of your set top box, replacing the batteries on the remote, ensuring there is no interference and things like that.  As a last resort you can even have the remote replaced at any MTS Connect store.
