Lots of reports out of MWC about Google pushing RCS as a replacement for SMS and lots of carriers getting on board. Can MTS please comment on where there are with this?

I wonder if this will come to Canada carrier by carrier or be a Canadian industry  roll out coordinated by the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association.

RCS isn't a new technology or idea  - it has been around for a while (2007/2008)...lots of what Matt said here:

applies to RCS as well.

We will take a measured approach and determine the direction of the market and layer that into our technology and service roadmap.

RCS is going to be widely adopted internationally and in the US. I would imagine for it to be supported across borders MTS would need to implement it. While VoLTE and WiFi calling both fail gracefully to GSM calling I am not sure the handoff will be as smooth with RCS.
