Are you planning a trip? Do you like to travel and keep in touch while you’re away? There are a few things to consider regarding your MTS cellphone before you take off to ensure you have the access you need when traveling abroad.
First I would like to clarify what roaming is. You are considered to be roaming when you are outside of Canada. If you are traveling within Canada then you are technically not roaming but there are still things to consider like coverage or Canada wide calling or data.
Second you will need to think about coverage. Are you even going to get service where you are going? My best suggestion is to check out our coverage site, mts.ca/coverage. This will give you a good idea if your phone is even going to work where you are headed.
Last thing to consider is travel pack add-ons. If you do want to use your phone, what do you want to use it for; Do you just want to have access to voice for emergencies, be able to text your friends back home to tell them how great of a time you’re having, do you want access to data as well? We all love to post those great profile pics on Facebook. Having an idea of what you want to do will help you decide on the right pack for you.
