Pre-authorization info gone?!

My Dad has had pre-authorized payments for years, and didn't notice they stopped coming out until recently, when he found out he had a small outstanding balance. So he called MTS, and they said they had NO pre-auth info whatsoever on file!

So he gave the phone rep all his info again, had to make sure it wasn't going to get withdrawn even after he went to the bank and paid it, which had happened in the past in a similar situation.

When he got to the bank, the teller said that he was the THIRD person that day with the same problem! So I'm wondering if this was a system glitch, a clerical error, or what?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I'm sorry to hear that your Dad has run into some billing issues with his account.This has not been announced as a current system error so I would definitely like to look into this further to find out what exactly happened. If you could please send us an email to community@mts.ca with the account details, and confirm whether it was Pre-Auth from a Credit Card, or Bank Account. We will review the account further for you!
