Poor Cell Signals in Southwest Manitoba

I live in the southwest area of the province. I find that cell service has gotten poorer over the last few years. Areas that I used to be able to get service with my older cell phones is now poor.   Is it my cell provider or is it the quality of the new phones that MTS is selling? I know that many in our community are experiencing the same issues. I had to purchase a new/larger battery for my Samsung S3 as battery life while looking for service often only lasts 4-5 hours. Seriously tempted to look into other providers on my next upgrade. Is there any plans by MTS improve any of these poor spots?

Hi Tracey, please send us your phone number and a bit more detail on your location to community@mts.ca and we can investigate further.

Thanks

Thanks for your patience Tracey,

We took a peek at your location and I think i can explain a bit of your experience based on your comment and knowing what happens around the Pelican Lake area (which seemed to be where you connected the most).
That area does get a significant influx of people over the spring and summer months and what can happen is that this increase of traffic can impact coverage to some extent.  We are going to take a look at the site and see if we can tweak it a bit to improve the coverage and we will put it onto our list to investigate further to see what other actions are needed.

Thanks for the question!
