I just switched from Shaw to MTS yesterday, and my phone line isn't working properly. I try to call the house number and it rings once, sounds like someone picks up but the line is dead. At home, the landline doesn't ring at all, doesn't show how is calling, but the call shows up on the TV. I know there is a problem with the line, because my kids school tried calling 4 times yesterday, 430, 431, 432, 433 and they said the same thing, it rang once, sounded like someone picked it up but no one was there, and no one was at home at the time they called either so no one could have picked up the phone. I called MTS last night, tech said he couldn't do anything cause we weren't in the system yet. Spoke to someone through chat today and he was very rude and said that the line was working fine, and then said it would try and send out the same tech, even though i requested a different one because the guy that installed wasn't very good at all, didn't test the line like i'm sure he was supposed to, and didn't even show us or give us information on call answer, then he tells me he couldn't give me a specific time the tech would be out, only btwn 24-48 hours, and because i didn't have a cell phone that would be a major issue. and when i told him i would like to know a specific time he said he couldn't give me one, not even a 4 hour span, only a 24-48 hr span, like really???? So I have switched from shaw for what??? i was promised better service but already i'm paying for a phone line that doesn't work. and my phone line still doesn't work and no tech is scheduled to come out and fix it?????? so NOT IMPRESSED!!!!!!!
