Periodically I cannot send email from my phone. issue with mtsmail servers?

I have periodic issues sending email from my phone.  It's very frustrating.  I don't have imap set up on any other device so I can't test from an email client. 

However.  I can sometimes send email no problem then other times I get a notification that the server was not responding.   I can send email from other services (ex gmail) no problem

My email settings on my phone have not changed in months, so it's not a setting on the phone.  A phone reboot does not solve the problem.
I'm curious as to whether others are experiencing this issue as well.

It happens from time to time to me to with sending and receiving on my cell as well. It seems to clear up on its own for me.

BellMTS email has since 2015 been hosted by a major white label service company called Synacor so the problems would probably be at that company's end.

Well then, Let's get a trouble ticket in with Synacor so this is resolved.  :-)

You have to talk with BellMTS tech support (204 225 5687) when it happens and they deal with any escalation to their supplier.

Using Samsung S4 I can send emails but cannot reply. All i see is getting messages and that is it. At times I can back out and schedule a delivery. Sometimes it works most times not.

I installed Blue Mail and now I can reply so issue appears to be with the default email app.

Intetesting as I also have an S4 and don't have that issue with the email client that came with the phone

Email on cellphones is always a bit of a toss up.  If anything fails it's always a guess if it's the server or the device, and there really isn't any fool proof way to confirm which it is.  Your best bet is to contact our technical support group.  They can do some troubleshooting, try to determine the cause and escalate a ticket if needed.  You can reach them by phone 24/7 at 204-225-5687 or via webchat at the bellmts.ca website. 

I've seen email troubles like the one you describe be resolved by simply removing the account and re-adding it.  Then on the flip side I've seen the same issue require hours of troubleshooting, days of waiting for the issue to be investigated and repaired internally, then more hours trying to get it all put back together. I hope your trouble is closer to the former.
