Cell and landline don't work for me either. My mom is rural Manitoba and she only has cell, works intermittently was able to let me know that she was having issues and then got disconnected. What are we suppose to do in an emergency? Is there a way to contact 911 via internet?
As this seems to have affected more than one exchange I wonder of Genband (the people who bought out Nortel) have released a buggy software upgrade to MTS?
We will probably never find out what the cause was.
Any one else still having issues with not having any service?
i've seen most people are still experiencing no service on their phones. With all of the competition out there, i'd think MTS would answer what the problem is or update everyone in a timely fashion. I'm going into my 4th hour with no service. MTS, you are certainly not winning my next vote for new phone.
