No service for over a week in residential Winnipeg

On October 2 I reported extreme static in my home phone, intermittent to non-existent tv and Internet service, and calls being made to 911 through my alarm service. The police have come twice so far to investigate the calls. I phone 611 daily for an update on the repair but nobody can say whether anything is being done. I have been told to request a refund when service is finally restored but cancelling service is becoming a more likely solution. If my family is not able to conduct their normal school tasks because of no internet, and if we are not able to watch our favorite shows or rent a movie, why do we need MTS at all! It's also significant that I need to use my cell phone and sit on hold at length each time I try to find out what is going on and use cell for any call whatsoever - so I'll also be seeking a credit on my mobile bill for the extra minutes I've used. I want to know if other customers are experiencing the same poor service - although they likely can't access this 'community' unless they use their mobile as a modem for their computer as I've had to do. Pathetic service!
