How come MTS is selling phone(Nexus 6) that have KNOWN issues. Namely they cannot send pics via MMS/SMS Messenger. Out of the box and set up they will not even text because there is 2 APNs for Fido entered into the phone and there is wrong Port # in sp.mts. Talked to tech support and they said it is issue with file compression/downscaling/upscaling. After deleteing Fido entrys and chaning the port setting 9201 to 9401 they will text and sometimes the odd pic will go through, depending on how busy the server is?.....dissapointing to say the least and shame such a nice phone doesn't work.

It sounds like those Nexus devices are causing quite a few issues.

Here's a few items for use immediately:

Corey is right - MMS messages can only be of a certain size because they are being transmitted over the voice network, using data, and relying on a third party to transfer the picture messages over the network.
Which is why using the Google stock application works best with the Nexus devices.

I'll see if someone can replicate your issues sending and receiving picture messages and get to the bottom of it.

Have you contacted tech support and gotten them to look into the provisioning of your device on the back end to ensure everything is correct for MMS (picture messaging)?
