New fiber optic being installed near Lac du Bonnet

I've noticed that work is ongoing at the narrow bridge near Lac du Bonnet installing fiber optic cable across the Winnipeg river to the east?  Does this mean fion service is coming to that side of the river.  For example down Riverland Road, hopefully. And will this include TV services as well?

It could also be Manitoba Hydro installing fibre for their communications network.

Manitoba Hydro uses a wireless communications system set up with the MTS cell towers. This system allows communication around Manitoba via 2 way radio. But thanks

I was thinking more of the large fiber network that MH uses to link their generating stations and associated terminal and substations.  They have been using this system to replace the outdated microwave network they were using for system control.  They also lease dark fibre in the network to private companies (Clear Sky communications is one that comes to mind) and the City of Winkler to provide internet service.

But the only GS in that direction is Pointe du Bois and Slave Falls. Pointe being in excess of a century has a connection to Slave and again, is connected to the MTS tower at Pointe.
