Network Coverage in Lac du Bonnet and Bird River area

A few years back HSPA+ was added out in the Lac du Bonnet and Bird River area. At first the service was really great, could make calls, text, surf and even tether with decent speeds. It seems as more and more people are starting to use services out there the tower has become possibly over committed especially on long weekends where a lot of people are out at their cabins. During most long weekends texts become delayed, surfing pages becomes impossible and frustrating and tethering becomes useless. Is there any plans in the future to add a secondary tower out in this area? Or possibly upgrade the area to LTE? I feel that either would greatly improve service out there.

Clearly it's cabin country out there, I don't need to be on my phone as much as in the city but I do need access to work emails or to be able to text friends coming out some directions. It would be nice to see more constant network coverage out there.

Hi Blair,

We have had some good conversations about service in "cottage country" already as there are some unique challenges with some of these areas:

Our plan is to have LTE installed at these locations - hoping to get them all done prior to the summer when traffic really picks up.

Thanks for your question!
