MyPlan Features

"Features" are treated rather strangely in MyPlan and I find it confusing. They aren't added to the big bold "Your MyPlan" total price and only shown in the details at the end. But more importantly, why don't they count against the total for subsidies? I also assume they don't count towards the minimum cost needed for certain bundles? If it were a true build your own plan I'd expect and want to be able to swap a feature like voicemail in and swap out some voice minutes.

Official Response
Hi ertyu,

I’m sorry for the confusion. We keep Features separate from your MyPlan Minimum Monthly Cost for a number of reasons, including wireless consumer protection legislation in Manitoba and in Canada.

Features are optional and can be added or dropped at any point throughout the term of your contract. We don’t want to lock customers into these features, we want you to be able to add and remove them as you need them. Features are charged on a monthly basis and can therefore be cancelled by you at any time.  All charges for Features are subject to change on 30 days’ notice.  Features do not count towards your Minimum Monthly Cost/device subsidy because you can drop them anytime during your contract. Your Minimum Monthly Cost (Starter Plan + Minutes + Data) cannot be changed by MTS during the term of your contract.

Hope this helps!
