MTS should make a donation on behalf of the customers. For the Dec 22 outage.

With all the people on this form and Facebook asking for a credit regarding the Dec 22 outage I think an excellent idea would be for MTS to take the average daily amount a customer payes for voice and data service times that by the number of affected subscribers and make this donation to multiple food banks/ soup kitchens around Winnipeg so all the less fortunate can enjoy a hot meal this holiday season. As a customer it would please me to help the less unfortunate and would go a lot farther than crediting me $2 for the service disruption.
Some quick calculations. Most plans are $70 a month ÷ by 31 days = 2.33 MTS claimed in 2012 close to 500,000 wireless subscribers so 75% of that would be 375,000 × 2.33 = 873,750 so it would be easy for MTS to donate 3/4 or at leat 1/2 a million dollars. And it would also be good for PR.

What do you think people?
