MTS internet experiencing multiple short disruptions every day.

My Internet at home has been going down it seems for just a couple seconds at a time but sometimes it seems to be a few times an hour. I have noticed similar things at my work place (there it goes down for about 5 minutes at a time partly because our router doesn't pick up the signal immediately, it needs to be restarted often). Is mts doing updates or changes with their servers over the last two weeks that would account for this?

Having multiple routers connected to the service can certainly complicate things and potentially cause this type of issue to occur.  My suggestion, to at least confirm 100% if it's MTS or an internal issue, would be to try and bypass the internal network or routers for a short time, see if the issue continues.  As you say it happens quite frequently so it likely wouldn't require a very long test to get results.  If the issue continues with your device connected directly to the MTS modem then you have confirmed it is an issue with our equipment or network and then you should give our technical support group a call to have it checked out.  If the issue stops however then you know the issue is with your internal network, be it hardware or settings I couldn't say.
