MMS issues

First off, I know there's another thread about this problem. The other day I bit the bullet and traded my iPhone 5 for a Samsung S6. I'm loving the phone so far, except for when it comes to MMS messages, they almost always seem to take forever to go through, if they do at all.

We called tech support yesterday and were told to switch mobile connections to hspa only, and that seemed to work yesterday. Today it didn't. I ended up switching to LTE and then it went through when I tried sending a pic.

I'm not sure why this is such an issue with MTS, I mean, I was able to send MMS messages years ago before there even were data plans, and they went through almost instantly. There was never a time when I wondered if it went through or not. Now, I never know if it'll work or not.

And it's not just my phone either, my wife upgraded to the same phone on the same day, and this is happening to both of us.

Hey there,

I can check into these for you, please send your phone number to Once received I will see if I can find an explanation in the network logs. Once found, of course, this would lend itself to us resolving the issue.

I completely understand delays in messaging are frustrating, especially if the messages are time sensitive and/or part of an ongoing conversation. We want the service to work quickly and consistently for you and will do what we can to repair this.

That said, I do not recommend changing the network settings in your devices. Your phone will select the best network based on a number of network parameters. The goal is to keep your device on LTE as much as possible as that will provide you with the best service. If for some reason LTE isn't available, your device will move itself on to HSPA automatically. In fact, if you are currently set on HSPA I'd suggest switching it back to the original settings.
