LTE Speeds in the Keneston area

I am having some brutal speeds on LTE around the Scurfield and Keneston areas. Speed are down to under 1 MB/s intermittently. A lot of other people in my office are having the same issue. It  is the same around the Canadian Tire on Keneston as well.

Hey JT, at what point does it crash? As soon as you tap the 'Additional info' field?
Or does it crash once you are typing into the blank box that's meant for the 'additional info'?
I want to report this so they can resolve it crashing.
The other thing to check is that your device is up to date and the app is current as well (if you haven't already done that).

I get the box and am able to type for a few words until it crashes.
My device is up to date. From my understanding, it's a common problem hence the poor rating in the playstore

We've contacted the creator of the My Network Feedback application to get those issues resolved on Android - I'll post once I know it's fixed. :)

Thank you again for your help JT.

The 'Additional info' opens then but doesn't allow you to type in much or submit your typed info.
I'm seeing what you're telling me, regarding the comments in the Playstore, I'm going to ensure that the team that manages the application is aware. I'm not having the same problem on my end so I wonder if it's the Android version of it.

You've been ever so helpful. :)

Thank you!

I am on Rogers but we are all using the same towers... I am amazed how slow speeds can get in the city! I live between Dugald and Anola and I'm consistently getting >18 at suppertime. I'm amazed.

Greg, you are a very rude person. Do a search on your phone of "what is my IP address" and it will clearly show you either in Edmonton or Vancouver, been there done that. Had banking apps and websites emailing me saying I been logged on in BC and Alberta. Maybe it's just JT's phone getting 1Mbps. MTS has been proven faster for years now. MTS was the first LTE network in Manitoba ;)

Hey Dano, wrong again. How bout I just give you my IP address and see if you can do anything with it. Also I'll attach a screenshot to prove you wrong about being in Alberta or B.C. I'm right here just outside the city of Winnipeg yet you can look at the map and see where the internet and you think I am. The speedtest server is in Seattle. My banks don't care where I am, and everything works just fine speedwise and security wise because I'm NOT on MTS. Ha!

Okay so there it shows you in Toronto, still if I did that on MTS it would show me in Winnipeg. Just be thankful we have MTS because that's the only reason you don't pay Ontatio's prices for your Rogers plans ;)

Yes, we finally agree on something. Hopefully when Shaw brings Wind to Manitoba it will get even cheaper.

Not going to happen. MTS bought out Winds spectrum since they decided to not Coke to Manitoba.

Winnipeg has a population of under a million people. How can we have congestion issues like this when there are cities much much larger than Winnipeg with many more people on the LTE?

Try and convince everyone loving near you to support having a new tower built within eyesight.

Need to do this in a few parts of the city not just this area.

I wouldn't mind at all if they built a tower at eye sight in my area. My cottage in the whiteshell looks directly at the White Lake tower and I don't mind looking out at it everyday.

JT, back to your speed issue, I can give you general information since I don't know where your office is specifically. If you sent me your location I can get you the specifics.

The Kenaston area is a hotspot for congestion issues since one of the towers in Whyte Ridge has one of the busiest sectors in all of Manitoba (which I didn't know myself until I inquired about this). That being said they have plans to improve the Whyte Ridge, Kenaston and Sterling Lyon area in 2016.
If any one of you lives in the Linden Woods area we could put a tower right in your backyard! ;)
