Lost my phone connection yesterday evening (July 2) and this evening again (July 3)

I lost my phone connection yesterday evening (July 2) and again this evening (July 3).  This caused my AAA alarm system to go off, both times.  I've called an MTS tech support to find out if there was maintenance work or repairs being done in my area, but he hasn't got a clue.  I wonder if somebody here could enlighten me.  I live on Garfield St N at Wolever.  My area is the Westend/Wolseley area.

I think MTS should at least announce, ahead of time, to their customers if service is going to be done in their area and for how long - instead of simply going ahead and cutting our lines.  That is utterly rude.  Some of your customers, like me, subscribe to AAA alarm systems through MTS which are dependent on our phone lines.  We deserve a heads up, so we can at least turn off our alarm systems.

Hi Troy - there was a damaged cable in the area - portage and Maryland that is likely the cause of the issues in your area.

We did make mention of this on our service status page but I see it only references TV and high speed which is likely an error on our part
