Long Distance Incoming Fees

I recently received a pretty large bill for long distance as I did not yet have a long distance package (which i do now) on my cell phone. I was receiving incoming calls from a Rogers customer in Saskatchewan while I was in Manitoba. Am I supposed to be charged for incoming calls? I have seen on the forum that If I am in Manitoba, I should not be charged for incoming long distance, but since I was, I was just wondering if this was an error or if I have my information wrong?

Hi Emily,

You are correct that you should not be charged long distance for any incoming calls as long as you are in Manitoba. Dustin is also correct, that if you are picking up an out-of-province tower, you will be charged long distance.

If you still think that there's an error on your bill, you should absolutely call Customer Care so that somebody can look over your bill with you!
