Why did MTS take away the $99 installation fee for lighting reach plans from the plan details on the website? At one time it showed in the terms and conditions there would be a $99 install fee for lightning reach plans. Now there is no mention of the fee and customers are getting frustereted with finding out there is a large fee when they call in to apply for internet service. Also the internet check too it's ver inaccurate. I have internet service at my address and when I search my own address it shows I cannot get service at my home. When my neighbours call to request internet service they get told by 2-3 reps internet is not available at their address. After I tell them to request to speak to a supervisor or manager they finally get the "oh sorry yes you can get internet at your address" it's like MTS doesn't want to give people internet service in my area.

Maybe they don't want to make their massive congestion problem worse than it already is!

Still await an answer from MTS on why they decided to hide the install fee, and not seem to want to give customers internet in areas where we know it's available.

Hello Dan, we do apologize.  We had reached out to get you official answers about the install fee before replying and with the transition it appears it got lost in the shuffle. We'll touch base with our teams about getting that information updated.

I still do not see anywhere on the website in the fine print about this $99 install fee for the lightning reach plan. Could you please show me where it says this? Thanks

Hey Dan,
I just took a thorough browse through the bellmts.ca website and I can't see anywhere that mentions the $99 fee for lightning reach.  On that same note however, I don't see mention of any specific install fees for any area.  I can't say for certain why this is but my suspicion is these are all handled on a case by case basis and fees can vary from location to location so posting a specific fee wouldn't really be accurate.  As I said, I can't be certain of this but I though I'd touch base with you so you weren't left hanging again.  I'll see what I can do to dig up an answer for you.

Sorry Dan, nothing affirmative yet.  I know a response for questions like this can take a while because I have to reach out to our marketing folks and they do their thing before they get back to me.  Hopefully I'll have something by the end of this week.
