Lg g5 connection issues

We're having issues with mobile data as well as communication connectivity. Is there a solution for this at all? Is this a defect in the phone or is it on their end?

The MTS service status shows as normal so its probably not a service outage issue.  Can you give a general location on where you are having the issue as some parts of Manitoba get better coverage than others.

Clifford is on the right track here, location can be everything when it comes to cellular coverage.  A good way to help determine if the issue is device or network related is to see if there are any other devices in the same area having issues.  If yes, then there is a good chance it's a network trouble, either coverage or possibly an outage.  If only one device is affected then it could be something with that device directly.  It may not be defective but may need some tweaking to get working again.  Your best bet is to give our technical support crew a call or message and have them check it out with you.  --> Contact us page

I'm near Point Du Bois, MB. maybe 1 km from tower, clear line of site, 5 full bars yet Any attempt to go on internet is slower than dial-up, if I even make it that far 99% of the time I fail to connect to network.

best suggestion I have is call BellMTS tech support @ 204 call-mts (204-225-5687). That way at least you will be able to eliminate the possibility that its a problem at the tower.

I have gotten home and had a chance to look at the MTS signal strength map  for Point Du Bois.  Looks like LTE strength shows up as intermittent while HPSA shows as being great with a few areas going down to good.

Have you tried forcing your phone to run on HPSA to see if the speeds increase as it may be picking up LTE.
