Junk email for MTS mail

This is ridiculous. We have been with MTS for years and in the last year we have received more junk email than we could even imagine. What has happened to MTS filtering out junk mail? Ever since we left Outlook for MTS Mail we have been inundated with junk mail. Come on MTS, keep up with the times..

Hi Louise,
I know spam has been a bit of an issue for some users since changing over to the new MTSMail service.  With the new email service we had to subscribe and build a virtually new spam database.  Each email provider subscribes to their own spam database and filter, and with a new system comes new spam.  Over the last couple months we made great leaps in the spam filtering and it got significantly better however with the new year brought new spam campaigns and tactics so the filters again need to be updated. We are certainly aware of this pain and don't take it lightly.  We are always trying to manage the mass amounts of spam that float around out there but it's an ongoing battle.  Your best defense against spam is to mark emails as such when you get them.  That is really the only way to identify these messages as such and have them added to the global spam filter.  The only down side is the amount of users on our service vs. a larger email provider (like microsoft or gmail) is it takes longer for a message to be fully and properly filtered when users mark it as spam.
