iPhone5 Battery Replacement Program?!?

My phone for the last 2-3weeks now, suddenly dies without warning.  I found out that Apple has a program to replace batteries in affected models (I entered my serial number and YES mine was part of the "bad batch") free of charge.

The problem is, I live in Brandon and the nearest (according to the Apple website) authorized service is the Apple Store in Polo Park.  Why can't I just take it to MTS Connect here in Brandon?

I can't be without the phone for more than a few hours and I also do not have the time to travel all the way to Winnipeg for this purpose.

Even if the local MTS connect provided me the same phone as a loaner (iPhone5 16gb) and took care of the rest I'd be happy as I'd still have a phone and get my own fixed at the same time.

Does MTS have anything in place to take care of this situation?

Hey Mark,

What I would do, is contact the store in Brandon where you got your phone and see what their process is for replacing the battery. You could call ahead to save yourself some time. They should be able to help you.
