Internet in Altona down

Hi, our residential Internet in Altona is down, and has been since 10:48. I tried calling MTS technical support. The call back time is "more than 3 hours."

This is sad. When will this issue be fixed? **Edit* Internet back up as of a few minutes ago*

Also, when will it be fixed properly by rolling out fiber optic Internet in Altona?

Hi Jonathan - I will pop into this discussion for Jessica, we haven't fully approved our fibre to the home plans for 2015 and beyond yet so unfortunately we can't give you any specific timeframes on Altona.

As far as the issue from yesterday (and I will be the first to admit that MTS does have outages/issues from time to time) that was a widespread problem that affected more than just MTS.  There was a problem with an internet peering provider that caused the issue for some MTS customers and others in Canada as well.  In that case the issue you had yesterday wouldn't have been prevented by a fibre connection.
