Important Ultimate TV Updates between December 10 - 18 and January 5 - 15
To enable MTS to offer exciting new services in the future, we will be performing an upgrade to all set-top boxes between December 10 and 18, and between January 5 and 15. The set-top box upgrades will occur between midnight and 6am. During this upgrade, your TV service and PVR functionality will be interrupted for 5 minutes to 20 minutes.
When your set-top box is about to be upgraded, one of three scenarios will occur:
- If you are watching TV at the time of the upgrade, a message will appear on your screen notifying you that the upgrade is about to start. At this point, you have two options:
-Select OK in the blue box on the screen – the upgrade will start immediately and your set-top box reboot will last between 5 and 20 minutes. If you do not select OK, the upgrade will automatically start within 2 minutes and your set-top box will reboot.
-Select Remind me in 3 hours – this will delay the upgrade for 3 hours. After 3 hours, the upgrade notification will appear again.
If your set top box is powered off, the next time you turn on your TV and set-top box, you will be notified that the upgrade is about to start and you have the option of selecting "OK" or delaying for three hours.
- If you are not watching TV at the time of the upgrade but your set-top box is powered on, you do not need to take any action. The upgrade will start automatically and your set-top box will reboot.
Please allow your set-top box up to 20 minutes to reboot. If your set-top box does not reboot or you receive an error message on your screen please Contact Us.
