That language is really unneeded even if you are upset.

The technicians often block their number as it is directly assigned to them. Some customers continue to attempt to contact the techs directly rather than using proper channels to log issues and sometimes even ask about issues beyond MTS services, ie how do I upgrade Windows.

If you called in to report the issue this could be the visit to look at the issue. If you didn't report the issue it is possible there was a wider issue and MTS needed to move your connection or similar to resolve the issue and they were attempting to confirm service was working.

As I don't work for MTS I cannot look more into your issue. If you can be polite and express your concerns by email to community@mts.ca including your account number or phone number they can look up the specifics of the situation and get back to you.

Hi William. Too bad about the no service for two weeks. Gotta say myself, though, it sure as heck wasn't MTS you were waiting for. Been with MTS myself for a loooooong long time...as in many many MANY years. The odd little flu hits the system now and again, and I have had either my MTS Evolve (pay as I go cell), TV and Internet tended too immediately...and I do mean immediately. Also receive follow-up calls afterwards. Hey William, by the way, with my three services, I can count on one hand how many times since the 1990's I have had to call for assistance. Wonderful people in person right here at home and/or a rep or tech fixing something right over the phone. And never hung up till the problem was satisfactorily fixed to ME. Good luck wherever you take your business.....you're gonna need it. Have a nice Christmas to you and yours, Wuilliam

I'll just add to Cory's posting that if the call is from a Cell Phone to a land line only Rogers provides a name and number  to be displayed.  All other cell phone providers just send the number and depending on the software on your phones call display what you see for a name may be one of a few things.

I called my home landline from my MTS cell and got 4 different displays  for the name on 6 displays .  ( 2 out of area, 2 unknown, 1 unknown name and 1  private)
