I just realized that my newer LG G5 doesn't seem to have the crystal clear HD voice calling that my G3 had. Was it turned down due to VoLTE possibly being in the works? Maybe the G5 doesn't support it? Thanks
Hi Jesse, I just ran some testing, as I also have the G5 and never really tested that, and it definitely does support HD voice. There are a few catches though for it to work, it only works from MTS to MTS devices, the device on the other end also needs to support HD voice and there is no indicator on the phone itself showing that HD voice is in use (I had to test call a BlackBerry as it does have an indicator). I couldn't really say why you are seeing a decrease in quality on the calls as there would be many variables, but if it is an issue try to take note of the date and time of calls that you are noticing issues with. See if you can confirm any details of the device and carrier on the other end and give our tech support crew a call. With those details, if it's not working, they should be able to help look into it for you.
