Have internet in Sandy hook, pay for 5 mbps, get 1.6 due to my location

Due to my location I only get 1.6, my question is , is Mts going to do something about this? Do they not care that customers are paying a certain speed but not getting it. There are tons of homes on the golf course and in Sandy hook alone , I'm pretty sure North of me Sandy hook doesn't even have high-speed .

Our high speed internet plans do not guarantee a finite download, or upload, but are marketed as 'up to,' the amount that the plan specifies. This is displayed on every internet plan we offer on our website. We do our best to address internet speed concerns, but in some cases we are limited to local infrastructure.

1.6 megabits is still substantially faster than dial up, and is still classified as a High Speed Internet product. In some cases, 1.6 megabits may not be adequate for some internet based products such as HD/4K streaming, internet based security systems that require bandwidth for surveillance, hosting gaming servers, etc.

"Actual speeds may vary and are not guaranteed. Many factors affect speeds such as location, customer equipment, topographic and weather conditions and network management."

This information can be located at the very bottom of our web page after all of the plans that shown.

Switch to a Wireless provider, Look at Netset communications for your area, you will get a faster connection just have to watch your usage. the MTS DSL network is a joke it hasn't been updating in over 20 years.
