Often there are posts about slow speeds or limited coverage in specific rural areas. The cost of providing service to these areas is often a challenge not only for MTS but all companies. One alternative is for the local governments, such as a rural municipality or band council to fund the costs on the front end. Below is a link to a story on how the Norway House Cree Nation partnered with MTS to have service improved to their community and recovered the costs. There are not a lot of specific details in the link but if gives a general template others could follow when they want to bring about meaningful changes and service improvements to their own communities. I am sure once you get your local elected officials on board MTS would be willing to talk more specific costs to the situation at hand.
