Is it true that starting today that we will all be FORCED to record our voices so that the security questions no longer have to be asked by your CSR's when inquiring about our personal accounts? Is it not unlawful to record anyone without their permission? If I still want your services but not my voice recorded...are you kicking me as a customer?

I can clarify this for you. The PI (Personal Idenification) program uses your voice with a date you select (like a pin) to record your voice when it's setup. When you call MTS the system comes on, you say your date along with a special phrase "My Voice is my password to access my account" and ta-da, when you speak to MTS we know it's you and we're happy to assist you knowing we have the right account and the account holder. It's free and easy to setup.

Account security is always a concern, as more and more people are concerned with security in an age where ATM's are getting hacked by elementary students and more. While passwords and pin numbers are great, nothing is more secure then your voice (other than me needing to take a tissue sample or asking for your eyeball so I can scan it :P )

We are not forcing people to use this system however as not everyone wants to use it and if you are not the account holder it is not offered (currently). We always ask though, because situations change, and sometimes folks want more security.

You can always add a password or Pin to your account though if you prefer that method of authorization, we just want to give you the most secure options possible to ensure you don't have to worry, and with the PI system you don't need an account number handy, or to answer other questions because we know it's you when you speak to us.

I hope this cleared this up, because in short we're always looking for new ways to help, and we offer several ways to give you a little more peace of mind with your account. :D
