I was just using Internet and all of a sudden lost wifi connection on my iPad followed by iPhone then checked TV and it was out. So a minute later comes back on and I check my router through 192.168.100.254 and now it appears to show the mts logo in top right corner where it usually shows pace and funny thing is I was on that configuration page yesterday and said pace. did MTS update firmware and if so what does this new update do? An FYI this would have been the perfect thing to put on your service status page. Thanks Gordon

Official Response
Hey Gordon and Clifford,
There have actually been a few updates implemented lately.  There have been fixes submitted for many of our interactive apps, such as Stingray and the Weather Network app.  We did also release a new firmware for the RG's.  I do apologize for the interruption in your service, to my understanding the customer impact was supposed to be negligible and the maintenance window should have been at a time of very low usage.  With that being said this upgrade is being rolled out in phases so not everyone will get it at the same time, it could be weeks for us to complete the entire upgrade process.

The upgrade did add a couple of features such as the guest network, I was told it also helps improve LAN and WAN connection management and speeds. It also helped take care of a few bug fixes.  Unfortunately I don't have the full list yet and haven't had a whole lot of time to play with it.  Mine is still on the old firmware.
