I'm sorry to hear that, if you webchat with us or give us a quick phone call we can look into this for you as the setup shouldn't have any issues with that.
Check for spaces at the end though as sometimes browsers add a space, and this can cause issues. (Mobile devices, and ipads, etc, do this often)
If that doesn't work I always recommend clearing your browser history as sometimes this can play tricks on the My Account and cause login errors. If these steps don't work let us know and we'll see if we can't setup the account for you (you can always update it after it's created to change the username, password and more).
