Cell service random

MTS cell service at my home is very unreliable at best, the tower is 1/4 mile from my house. This problem popped up approx. 2 months ago and affects any cell phone ours, friends, etc and is sporadic, on calls, Internet and texting. Was told by mts to shut off LTE, but not all our phones have it so that is not the solution. Some of our neighbours have also been complaining as well, and we have not made any changes to our home, we are getting very frustrated and would like a viable solution or explanation. Thanks

Hi Steve, we have had some issues in the area with respect to outside interference causing performance to degrade.  The last time it occurred was on Friday, we are continuing to look for the cause and when we do find it we will ensure it is shut down.  

Typically what happens is a booster that someone has installed starts to malfunction and it can cause enough interference that it severely limits the power of the cell site.  It can be challenging to find as it is usually intermittent and can come and go at random intervals.

From what we can see the site has performed well since Saturday morning - if you are still seeing issues let me know along with your phone number to the community@mts.ca email box.
