Cancelled services today and was not asked why... guess they don't care... no customer care

I called in today to cancel landline and all television services... after being on hold for quite some time I told the lady I wanted to cancel the above services... all she said was "you have to return the boxes, remotes and cords"... no asking why as per the statement on their website "As you are a valued customer, we would really like to speak with you prior to your disconnection to ensure that you have all the information needed to make your final decision." Oh but she did point out I would lose my discount LOL ... How sad

I am also strongly considering cancelling. I have known for about two years now if the service speeds in internet service remained largely unchanged the rate of growth of inline services was going to pass the BellMTS offering by.

It almost broke my heart to cancel as I have been a subscriber since the 90s.... but not being asked why or any attempt to sway me left feeling cold :-(  I have always had excellent customer service in the past for various things but not this time.

Now I have to gather up the equipment to return :-(

I still have Total Internet and and cell phone but my contract is coming up soon for renewal in a few short weeks and not sure which is the best route to go... when one raises the prices the other one does and vice versa so need to research and see if one provider is better than the other.

Unless you want a new phone at a discount you can stay off contract. My off contract plan is better than what is offered at the same price for new plans.

If you go off contract ask if the "bring your own device " discount is still available? I had to ask for it after seeing MTS Megan mention it on the community sometime ago and I get 10% off my cell portion of my package billing. it's a little over $5 a month for my discount but thats still over $60 a vear in my pocket.
