Good Morning,

I do apologize for any confusion, however our Residential Home Services of Home Phone, TV and Internet do not have any sort of contracts with the services. Only our Wireless plans have contracts associated with them. Are you referring to a introductory offer you are receiving that has lowered your regular monthly cost?

We can certainly take a better look at your account to assist you further with your questions. Please feel free to email us at community@mts.ca with your account information so we can review the account!

The two year "contract" makes me wonder if Matthew might has had a student discount on tv and Internet. Those are similar to the introductory offers but in the past have applied over longer terms.

As a side note, anyone that has an offer like that would want to check the language of their contract as it could have a termination clause which favours a new owner in the event of a sale. Something along the line of "in the event of a sale of MTS this offer can be ended with 30 days written notice." I personally had an issue like this when Shaw took over Videon.

Hey Cory not to get into this thread but I did re-read my wireless contract and there is no clause in it related to a sale. So I assume regardless of the outcome of this sale whoever takes on these contracts in the event of Bell/Telus makes me wonder if they have to keep exact plan and services in the plan before add-ons for duration of contract.
I guess I can give a little more back story. I was offered by an mts employee going door to door. A 2 year contract that was 30 for Internet & 30 for tv for the duration of time. That time is up in October it says so on my mts tv account. Can I sign for a new contract like this that would start at the end of the old one? Are there any mts deals being offered door to door? Kind of like this one?

Good Morning Matthew,

It sounds like you signed up for a really great Introductory offer with one of our Door to Door representatives. These offers would've been offered for a limited time as we don't usually have 2 year introductory offers available to new customers all the time. Once the offer ends, our regular price would kick in for the services that you currently have, since introductory offers are not the permanent price of our Home Services, we would require you to pay the regular monthly charge of the services going forward.

If you would like us to provide you with more details on the specific services and pricing of the plans you have, please feel free to email us directly at community@mts.ca with your account details.

Thanks,
Megan

I would say probably no to renewing it  as in a lot of the offers there is small print saying that you can't get another  deal if you have had one in the last 90 days.

So in your case there would probably be a 90 day window before you may be eligible for any new deals in effect at that time.

Hi Matthew,
I would say consider yourself lucky. I have had MTS for years and never had an offer that rich. Once it's over you will go to regular rates. MTS does have great bundling options and Total Internet if you have a smart phone. These options can save you money too. Have a great weekend.
