Call Tech Support to see if I can get someone from MTS to come to see why our house phone is not working...I did the list that you give them and still nothing..We can't call out and no one can call in all they get is a busy signal...and they said it will be TWO WEEKS, TWO WEEKS!!!!! for anyone to come and see what the issue is...we do have cell phones but we don't give them out for personal why or how does it take two weeks for someone to come and those two weeks who know what could happen to us...and we better get a credit or something if we do have to wait that long

I would not be surprised to hear that the answer is that the repair load has picked up with the recent rain that we have received. 

Fall and spring are usually the worst times for all telephone companies to have problems with their underground and overhead telephone cable.

And yes I do agree that 14 days is a bit long to do without service, but with Friday and Saturday getting warmer if it is a water problem your line may dry out enough on its own to be usable until MTS shows up to look at it.

What Clifford says may be accurate. I found this article about a customer on a US telecom with the same issue. Good luck, I hope your service gets fixed sooner for your sake. I'd hate to see you go to the competition.
