It appears on Sunday the BBC Earth freeview ended. However I thought it was supposed to last until May? Do you have any info on ordering it? The page of info on the packages doesn't list it yet. Can you confirm availability, which package, and the package price/individual price?
I don't see BBC Earth currently listed on our free preview website https://www.mts.ca/residential/tv/whats-new so I suspect it has ended. If you are interested in ordering the channel I did find it listed in the HD Hifi package on channel 1604. You can see that channel along with all the others at our channel line up page https://www.mts.ca/residential/tv/find-a-channel/all-channels/distribution-grid.
As always if you would like to add this package or channel you can do so by logging into your MyAccount online or by giving our sales department a call.
FYI I just logged into my account to change my packages and order BBC Earth. However even that does not indicate BBC Earth or the price. It stated that 1604 is rad-X at $1.99. MTS really needs to keep updates up to date! I hope that BBC Earth is actually broadcasting on 1604 and will cost $1.99.
"As the previous poster mentioned it shows 1604 in the "change My TV channels as rad-X. Taking the chance as we enjoy this channel more than any other.
There was a bit of a hiccup in the update of MyAccount and the online channel listing with a few channels that have changed recently. I'm not sure of the exact cause but I do know that the powers that be are aware of it and are working to get it corrected. I did check and confirm however that 1604 WILL be BBC Earth and the pricing is correct. Sorry for the confusion, glad that channel grid helped you out.
Me too, love the BBC Earth channel. I hope it stays commercial free like the freeview was!
We better not gush too much, otherwise Bell-MTS might raise the price! LOL!
Ever notice how Discovery HD package is $4 for two channels, but if you only want Velocity in that package it costs $8? Double the price to deliver half the content. Makes a lot of sense to me. CRTC is doing a great job mandating a-la-cart!
