are able to scale the output down to SD anyway if you view a HD channel
with SD output on the box."

Thanks for the idea Cory. We have actually contemplated this however there were a few technical issues that prevented us from implementing this solution. One of the issues is that our Classic TV Customers don't have HD capabilities. Also, some people prefer to PVR channels in SD rather than in HD to save space on their PVRs. There are a couple of other minor technical issues but this is something that we discuss every time we make changes to the system.

Hi there!
Effective today, we have implemented SD-HD Auto-Tune. Now when you tune to a SD channel that has an HD equivalent, you are given a message that if you want to watch the program in HD press the OK button.
